For some of you, visiting our Design Center will inspire your creativity and arouse your sense of possibilities. Others may want to leave the decision-making to their spouse, trusted friend or third-party guru. Either way, our experts enjoy collaboration. And they are dedicated to helping you make your home just the way you want it.
Design Center Appointment Checklist
The following are things to consider prior to and during your Design Center Consultation to help you get the most out of your meeting.
- Expect to spend between 2 and 3 hours with your Designer. In this appointment you’ll be able to review, price and select from a variety of flooring and window covering products.
- Remember to bring your checkbook. A deposit will be required when you finalize your selection.
- To keep the construction of your new home on schedule, you will need to finalize your countertops, flooring and window coverings 60 days prior to close of escrow.
- Think through your lifestyle characteristic and daily routine and how these attributes relate to possible design decisions.
- Make the most of your meeting by bringing a cushion from your sofa, a fabric swatch from your new chair, a paint chip or even a picture from a magazine of a beautiful room that inspired you.
- Review your floorplan and assess each of the different rooms. Explore how each room will be used. This will help you determine the mood and style each room will reflect.
- Create a furniture plan by taking measurements of your furniture and determining where each piece will be placed.
