Glass-front cabinets, crown moldings, granite countertops, Sub-Zero fridge - there are dozens of ways to personalize your new home and your William Lyon Homes options consultant is here to help. It's important to note, though, that if you want upgrades and options, you'll need to order and pay for them by specific cut-off dates based on the chronological phases of construction. For example, we cannot accept electrical changes if your home is in the drywall stage. This is the only way we can meet the construction schedule for your home and the homes around it. Your Sales Representative will provide the cut-off dates.

With so many choices, it's tempting to delay making decisions and we don't want to rush you. But, building a home is an intricate process and our job is to get you into your new home on time. To avoid the disruption and extra costs of home improvements after your family moves in, do a little planning before you meet with your Options Consultant.
Consider which options or upgrades complement your design, lifestyle and daily routine.
Ask yourself which features would be most difficult to add after construction is completed. For example, cabinets, plumbing additions and changes to countertops are more complex and costly post-construction.

Due to the sheer volume of buyer activity, our options consultants are available by appointment only. To meet the options deadlines for your new home, please pre-arrange an appointment with your Options Consultant prior to the cut-off dates. Or you may choose to order all desired upgrades at one time.

You may choose to include your options in your mortgage financing. If so, you'll need to complete the necessary paperwork with your sales representative 60 days prior to close of escrow. Check with your William Lyon Financial loan officer to be sure your particular loan package allows for the financing of options and that you qualify for the increased loan amount.
Non-refundable deposit
Regardless of the payment method, a non-refundable deposit is required up front. Once you have ordered and purchased options or upgrades, we immediately place the order for the contracted work. Beyond this point, any changes or cancellations will incur a processing fee.
Written documentation
Written documentation is required for all options selections. This formal process helps ensure the accuracy of your order and allows your options consultant to carefully review all aspects of your purchase with you. |
